Monomoy Sharks (Harwich, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders (Oak Bluffs, MA), 26-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Nauset Regional for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. Monomoy will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Martha's Vineyard Regional falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Vineyarders host Bourne (Bourne, MA) to battle the Canalmen in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Canalmen enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. Bourne lost 12-7 in their recent league challenge against Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA)
