Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Middleburgh Knights (Middleburgh, NY), 11-3 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Salem for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7. Mayfield will battle a Generals squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Granville (Granville, NY). The Generals record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Middleburgh falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Northville (Northville, NY) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
