Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pacelli for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7.

With the loss, Merrill falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to Wausau West (Wausau, WI) to face the Warriors in a Wisconsin Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Wausau West lost 15-5 in their recent non-league challenge against New Richmond (New Richmond, WI)
