Ware Shoals Fighting Hornets (Ware Shoals, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Eagles (North, SC), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Fighting Hornets now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Great Falls for a non-league match on Monday, May 9. Ware Shoals will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Ridge Spring-Monetta (Monetta, SC). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-8.
With the loss, North moves to 4-10 on the season.
