South Vermillion Wildcats (Clinton, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Attica for a Wabash River challenge on Monday, May 9.
With the loss, Shakamak falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Monrovia (Monrovia, IN) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 7. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 8-4.
