The Lincoln-Way East Griffins crushed the host Providence Catholic Celtics baseball team by a tally of 13-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Griffins now hold a 21-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sandburg for a Southwest Suburban - Blue bout on Monday, May 8. Lincoln-Way East will face a Eagles team coming off a 9-5 league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 17-6.
Next, the Celtics face the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - Blue bout, on Tuesday, May 9. Providence Catholic will attempt to advance on its 23-4 season record. The Caravan enter the bout with a 15-9 record after their 11-0 league win over Marmion (Aurora, IL).
