Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA) and the host St. Anne's-Belfield Saints (Charlottesville, VA), saw Steward's baseball squad edge St. Anne's-Belfield by a count of 6-5.
The Saints now possess a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Collegiate for a Virginia Prep battle on Tuesday, May 9. St. Anne's-Belfield will play a Cougars squad coming off a 12-5 league win over Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 18-4.
