Illinois High School Lacrosse - Benet Academy gets by Downers Grove North

The Benet Academy Redwings lacrosse team scored 9 points and limited the visiting Downers Grove North Trojans to 8 in the Redwings non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Redwings (15-4) will now prepare for their game against Marist (Chicago, IL). The RedHawks enter the East Suburban Catholic match with a 11-2 record. In their last match, Marist nudged Minooka (Minooka, IL), 12-7, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Downers Grove North drops to 9-4 on the season. The Trojans host Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to play the Huskies in a West Suburban match on Tuesday, May 9. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 8-5. Oak Park-River Forest lost 13-12 in their recent league match against York (Elmhurst, IL)
