In Saturday's non-league battle, the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) lacrosse squad routed the host Glastonbury Guardians (Glastonbury, CT), by a count of 16-4.
Coming up next, the Nighthawks clash with the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) in a South West battle, on Tuesday, May 9. Newtown will attempt to advance on its 11-0 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 7-5 record after their 15-4 league win over Bethel (Bethel, CT).
The Guardians now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Conard for a Central Connecticut - North battle on Tuesday, May 9. Glastonbury will clash with a Red Wolves squad coming off a 15-9 league loss to Southington (Southington, CT). The Red Wolves record now stands at 7-3.
