In Saturday's league test, the host Hazleton Area Cougars lacrosse squad scored a tight 14-11 victory over the North Pocono Trojans.
The Cougars now have a 3-5 record.
In their next game, the Trojans face the Delaware Valley Warriors (Milford, PA) in a Wyoming Valley test, on Tuesday, May 9. North Pocono will attempt to move on its 6-8 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 6-9 record after their 19-1 non-league loss to Warwick (Warwick, NY).
