The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) and the host Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), saw Pike County Central's softball squad nip Blazer by a count of 4-3.

The Hawks now sport a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they host Floyd Central for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 9. Pike County Central will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 19-2 non-league win over Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Blazer falls to 6-15 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to Russell (Russell, KY) to face the Red Devils in a non-league match on Monday, May 8. The Red Devils enter the match with a record of 12-17. Russell won 7-1 in their recent non-league match against East Carter (Grayson, KY)
