Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), 19-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 14-7 record. They take the field next when they host Fremd for a Mid-Suburban West challenge on Monday, May 8. Conant will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 16-6.

With the loss, Maine East falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Blue demons travel to Niles North (Skokie, IL) to battle the Vikings in a Central Suburban - North challenge on Monday, May 8. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-13. Niles North lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL)
