Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY), 18-13 in a non-league challenge.

The Commodores now own a 12-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Jessamine for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. Tates Creek will face a Colts squad coming off a 19-1 non-league win over McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Colts record now stands at 7-15.

With the loss, Cooper falls to 15-8 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Simon Kenton (Independence, KY) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 14-13. Simon Kenton lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Collins (Shelbyville, KY)
