The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Harvard Hornets (Harvard, IL) and the visiting Dundee-Crown Chargers (Carpentersville, IL), saw Harvard's softball squad nip Dundee-Crown by a count of 6-5.

The Hornets now sport a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Richmond-Burton for a Kishwaukee River match on Monday, May 8. Harvard will face a Rockets squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Trinity (River Forest, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, Dundee-Crown falls to 13-11 on the campaign. The Chargers host Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL) to face the Wolves in a Fox Valley match on Monday, May 8. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 10-10. Prairie Ridge lost 11-6 in their recent league match against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL)
