Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hale Ray for a Shoreline - Large challenge on Monday, May 8. Old Lyme will battle a Noises squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Noises record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Fitch falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Westerly (Westerly, RI) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Westerly lost 8-5 in their recent non-league challenge against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI)
