South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Starfires now sport a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Woodlan for a Allen County challenge on Tuesday, May 9. South Adams will face a Warriors squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Antwerp (Antwerp, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 10-3.
