The Lake Region Lakers the host Yarmouth Clippers softball squad by a count of 8-5 in Saturday's league battle.
The Lakers (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Greely (Cumberland Center, ME). The Rangers go into the Class B South battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Greely was routed by Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME), 11-9, in a league battle.
The Clippers now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Poland for a Class B South battle on Monday, May 8. Yarmouth will meet a Knights squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME). The Knights record now stands at 6-1.
