Illinois High School Softball - Lyons can't get by Shepard

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) softball team held off the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, Shepard moves its record to 14-6 on the year. The Astros travel to Argo (Summit, IL) to play the Argonauts in a South Suburban contest on Monday, May 8. The Argonauts come into the contest with a record of 12-8. Argo won 10-0 in their recent league contest against Bremen (Midlothian, IL)
In their next game, the Lions play the Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver contest, on Monday, May 8. Lyons will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record. The Red Devils come into the contest with a 8-10 record after their 6-0 league loss to Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL).
