Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Madison Mohawks (Middletown, OH), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Miami East for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. Waynesville will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Covington (Covington, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Madison falls to 12-6 on the campaign. The Mohawks host Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 6. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-13. Twin Valley South lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Bradford (Bradford, OH)
