In Saturday's non-league contest, the Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) softball team overwhelmed the host Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY), by a margin of 8-2.

With the triumph, Meade County moves its record to 18-10 on the year. The Green Waves host Christian County (Hopkinsville, KY) to play the Colonels in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 6. The Colonels come into the contest with a record of 14-10. Christian County won 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Livingston Central (Smithland, KY)

In their next game, the Braves play the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 6. Union County will attempt to move on its 8-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 11-16 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Apollo (Owensboro, KY).
