In Saturday's non-league contest, the Triad Knights (Troy, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL), by a margin of 11-2.

With the triumph, Triad moves its record to 10-10 on the year. The Knights travel to Columbia (Columbia, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 6. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 13-11. Columbia lost 10-5 in their recent non-league contest against Highland (Highland, IL)

In their next game, the Red Devils play the DuQuoin Indians (DuQuoin, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 8. Murphysboro will attempt to move on its 15-13 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 10-17 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Herrin (Herrin, IL).
