Tri-Valley Bulldogs (Hegins, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pine Grove Cardinals (Pine Grove, PA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nativity BVM for a Schuylkill II game on Monday, May 8. Tri-Valley will clash with a Green Wave team coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA). The Green Wave record now stands at 5-12.

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA) in a Schuylkill I game, on Tuesday, May 9. Pine Grove will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Crimson Tide come into the game with a 10-7 record after their 9-7 league win over Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA).
