In Monday's non-league game, the host Howell Central Spartans baseball team scored a tight 6-5 victory over the Lafayette Lancers.
The Spartans (16-15) will now prepare for their game against Liberty (Lake St. Louis, MO). The Eagles go into the non-league game with a 20-10 record. In their last game, Liberty tipped North Point (Wentzville, MO), 6-1, in a non-league game.
The Lancers (16-12) will now prepare for their game against Rockwood Summit (Fenton, MO). The Falcons go into the non-league game with a 19-9 record. In their last game, Rockwood Summit was edged by Lutheran South (St. Louis, MO), 7-4, in a non-league game.
