In Monday's non-league game, the host Jefferson Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the New Knoxville Rangers.
The Wildcats (4-13) will now prepare for their game against Van Wert (Van Wert, OH). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 9-9 record. In their last game, Van Wert was edged by Wapakoneta (Wapakoneta, OH), 6-5, in a league game.
