In Monday's non-league game, the host Lafayette Fighting Irish baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the St. Pius X Warriors.
The Fighting Irish (10-8) will now prepare for their game against Savannah (Savannah, MO). The Savages go into the Class 4 District 16 game with a 21-11 record. In their last game, Savannah tipped Bishop LeBlond (St. Joseph, MO), 14-4, in a non-league game.
The Warriors (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Chillicothe (Chillicothe, MO). The Hornets go into the non-league game with a 15-12 record. In their last game, Chillicothe was edged by Savannah (Savannah, MO), 14-6, in a non-league game.
