The Lomira Lions baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Markesan Hornets to 1 in the Lions non-league victory on Monday.

The Lions (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Laconia (Rosendale, WI). The Spartans come into the Flyway challenge with a 16-0 record. In their last challenge, Laconia beat Ripon (Ripon, WI), 6-3, in a non-league challenge.

With the defeat, Markesan falls to 5-11 on the season. The Hornets host Cambria-Friesland (Cambria, WI) to encounter the Hilltoppers in a Trailways-North challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Cambria-Friesland lost 9-6 in their recent league challenge against Green Lake/Princeton (Green Lake, WI)
