Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Rockets confront the Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 14. Limestone will attempt to better on its 10-9 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 1-1 non-league Rochester (Rochester, IL).
The Spartans now have a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they host Meridian/Sangamon Valley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Springfield Southeast will confront a Hawks team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 9-9.
