Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they host Crown Point for a challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Lake Central will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Lake Central (St. John, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Lincoln-Way Central falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 16. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
