The Fairhope Pirates nipped the host Auburn Tigers softball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Pirates (23-22) will now prepare for their battle against Central (Phenix City, AL). The Red Devils go into the non-league battle with a 44-3 record. In their last battle, Central held off Auburn (Auburn, AL), 5-1, in a league battle.
The Tigers now possess a 24-13 record. They play next when they travel to Daphne for a non-league battle on Monday, May 6. Auburn will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 15-3 non-league win over Fairhope (Fairhope, AL). The Trojans record now stands at 38-3.
