The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Columbus North Bull Dogs (Columbus, IN) and the visiting Brownstown Central Braves (Brownstown, IN), saw Columbus North's softball squad nip Brownstown Central by a count of 5-3.

The Bull Dogs now sport a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomington South for a Conference Indiana match on Tuesday, May 7. Columbus North will face a Panthers squad coming off a 10-3 league win over Terre Haute North Vigo (Terre Haute, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Brownstown Central falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN) to face the Dragons in a Mid-Southern match on Tuesday, May 7. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 23-5. Silver Creek won 6-4 in their recent non-league match against Evansville North (Evansville, IN)
