In Monday's league contest, the Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL) softball team held off the host Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Normal West moves its record to 9-11 on the year. The Wildcats host Peoria (Peoria, IL) to play the Lions in a Big Twelve contest on Tuesday, May 7.
