Palmyra-Eagle Panthers (Palmyra, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elkhorn Elks (Elkhorn, WI), 9-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Williams Bay for a Trailways - South challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Palmyra-Eagle will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Horicon (Horicon, WI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Elkhorn falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Elks host Waterford (Waterford, WI) to face the Wolverines in a Southern Lakes challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Waterford won 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Burlington (Burlington, WI)
