Leo Lions (Leo, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN), 7-1 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia City for a Northeast Eight challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Leo will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 5-0 league win over East Noble (Kendallville, IN). The Eagles record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Huntington North falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Logansport (Logansport, IN) to battle the Berries in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Berries enter the challenge with a record of 17-5. Logansport won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN)
