The Shelby Whippets softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Huron Tigers to 1 in the Whippets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Shelby moves its record to 17-5 on the year. The Whippets host Pleasant (Marion, OH) to clash with the Spartans in a Mid Ohio Athletic game on Thursday, May 9. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 11-13. Pleasant won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Bishop Ready (Columbus, OH)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Perkins Pirates (Sandusky, OH) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 8. Huron will attempt to move on its 15-7 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 6-9 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Port Clinton (Port Clinton, OH).
