Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting IC Catholic Prep Knights (Elmhurst, IL), 11-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they host Fenwick for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Riverside-Brookfield will face a Friars squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL). The Friars record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, IC Catholic Prep falls to 20-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to face the Bandits in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Bandits enter the challenge with a record of 14-10. Resurrection won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Niles West (Skokie, IL)
