The Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) softball routed the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), 6-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Vikings (16-9) will now prepare for their bout against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Saints go into the non-league bout with a 16-14 record. In their last bout, Bloomington Central Catholic held off Eureka (Eureka, IL), 17-7, in a non-league bout.
The Railsplitters now possess a 10-17 record. They play next when they travel to MacArthur for a Central State Eight bout on Tuesday, May 7. Lincoln will confront a Generals squad coming off a 23-3 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Generals record now stands at 5-16.
