Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 24-4 record. They take the field next when they host Andrew for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Wednesday, May 8. Lincoln-Way Central will battle a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 21-4.

With the loss, Loyola Academy falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Ramblers travel to Maine South (Park Ridge, IL) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 8. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 14-3. Maine South lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Fremd (Palatine, IL)
