The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA), saw Western Branch's softball squad nip Manor by a count of 11-4.

The Bruins now sport a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oscar Smith for a Southeastern match on Wednesday, May 8. Western Branch will face a Tigers squad coming off a 20-3 non-league loss to Salem (Virginia Beach, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-11.

With the loss, Manor falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Norcom (Portsmouth, VA) to face the Greyhounds in a Eastern match on Tuesday, May 7. The Greyhounds enter the match with a record of 3-11. Norcom lost 17-0 in their recent league match against Granby (Norfolk, VA)
