Pecatonica Indians (Pecatonica, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Carroll Thunder (Savanna, IL), 13-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 5-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Polo for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Pecatonica will battle a Marcos squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over South Beloit (South Beloit, IL). The Marcos record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, West Carroll falls to 0-19 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Pearl City (Pearl City, IL) to battle the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 14-8. Pearl City won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastland (Lanark, IL)
