Tri-County Cavaliers (Wolcott, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Newton for a Midwest challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Tri-County will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN). The Spartans record now stands at 12-2.

With the loss, Rensselaer Central falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bombers travel to Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield, IN) to battle the Kougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. The Kougars enter the challenge with a record of 10-8. Kankakee Valley lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN)
