The Valley City Hi-Liners baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Grand Forks Central Knights to 5 in the Hi-Liners league win on Tuesday.
The Hi-Liners now own a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Devils Lake for a Class A - East Region test on Friday, May 9. Valley City will clash with a Firebirds team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Horace (Horace, ND). The Firebirds record now stands at 7-6.
With the defeat, Grand Forks Central drops to 3-6 on the year. The Knights host Horace (Horace, ND) to clash with the in a Class A - East Region test on Thursday, May 8. The go into the test with a record of 10-1. Horace won 4-1 in their recent league test against Devils Lake (Devils Lake, ND)
