In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Midway Vikings baseball team scored a close 7-0 win over the Northeast Vernon County Knights.
The Vikings (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Kingsville (Kingsville, MO). The Tigers go into the Class 1 District 11 game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, Kingsville nudged Leeton (Leeton, MO), 16-1, in a league game.
Next, the Knights play the Osceola Indians (Osceola, MO) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 8. Northeast Vernon County will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Drexel (Drexel, MO).
