The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) baseball the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), 6-4 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 12-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Christ the King for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. Polk County will clash with a Crusaders team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 15-7.

With the defeat, Starmount drops to 11-11 on the year.
