Carroll Chargers (Fort Wayne, IN) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Northridge Raiders (Middlebury, IN), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Carroll improves its record to 6-3 on the season.
The Raiders now own a 2-5 record.
Match Summary
The Northridge Raider JV boys’ volleyball team put up a strong fight Tuesday night but ultimately fell to Carroll High School in two closely contested sets, 21-25 and 21-25.
Gustav Disch and Jack McCartney sparked the Raiders’ service game, each delivering 7 aces. On defense, McCartney and Patrick Ritchie anchored the back row with 8 digs apiece.
Jose Duron helped guide the offense with 3 assists and also led the team in kills with 2, sharing the honor with Disch, who added 2 kills of his own. Mehtaab Rai was a presence at the net, recording a team-high 5 blocks.
