The Solon Spartans soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Grinnell Tigers to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now hold a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a WaMaC-East bout on Thursday, May 8. Solon will play a Wolves squad coming off a 10-0 league win over West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Grinnell moves to 2-12 on the year. The Tigers host South Tama County (Tama, IA) to play the Trojans in a WaMac-West bout on Thursday, May 8. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-18. South Tama County lost 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA)
