In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Shepard Astros soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South Meteors.
The Astros (4-15) will now prepare for their outing against Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Knights enter the non-league outing with a 2-20 record. In their last outing, Chicago Christian was edged by Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL), 9-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Meteors confront the Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL) in a South Suburban outing, on Monday, May 12. Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Bengals enter the outing with a 12-8 record after their 2-0 league win over Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL).
