The McLean Highlanders lacrosse squad scored 17 points and limited the visiting Gainesville Cardinals to 6 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Highlanders now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host James Madison for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 9. McLean will clash with a Warhawks squad coming off a 9-3 league win over South Lakes (Reston, VA). The Warhawks record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Gainesville falls to 12-2 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Patriot (Nokesville, VA) to clash with the Pioneers in a Cedar Run challenge on Thursday, May 8. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Patriot won 17-1 in their recent league challenge against Osbourn Park (Manassas, VA)
