Indiana High School Softball - Beech Grove bounces Speedway

May 6, 2025: Beech Grove, IN 46107

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Beech Grove Hornets (Beech Grove, IN) and the visiting Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN), observed Beech Grove's softball team notch a victory over Speedway by a tally of 17-7.

The Hornets (10-9) will now prepare for their bout against Southport (Indianapolis, IN). The Cardinals go into the non-league bout with a 6-9 record. In their last bout, Southport was routed by Columbus North (Columbus, IN), 4-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Sparkplugs battle the Roncalli Royals (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 9. Speedway will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Westfield (Westfield, IN).
