The Cherry Valley-Springfield Patriots softball team scored 21 runs and held the visiting Stamford Central Indians to 5 in the Patriots non-league win on Tuesday.

The Patriots now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 10.

With the loss, Stamford Central moves to 0-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Hunter-Tannersville (Tannersville, NY) to confront the Wildcats in a Section 4 Delaware County - Upper Delaware battle on Thursday, May 8. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 2-7. Hunter-Tannersville lost 24-6 in their recent non-league battle against Roxbury Central (Roxbury, NY)
