The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) and the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), observed Perquimans's softball team prevail over Hobbton by a tally of 18-0.

The Pirates (22-2) will now prepare for their bout against Gates County (Gatesville, NC). The Red Barons go into the non-league bout with a 12-10 record. In their last bout, Gates County knocked off Northampton County (Gaston, NC), 17-2, in a non-league bout.
